Ted Cruz Is A Hypocrite..What Else Is New?   2 comments

Tell us something we don’t already know…quoting Think Progress:

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) on Wednesday raised fears that the shutdown of the federal government that he helped launch could potentially lead to an attack on the United States of America, calling on his fellow senators to to pass a separate resolution funding the Defense Department.

Normally I’d add some witty comment here but a comment in the TP article above pretty much says what I would’ve said…quoting:

You’re right, Ted. A government shutdown has a number of negative consequences. But this is what you and your Tea Partiers wanted — all so you could play politics with a law that’s already reality. You knew that defunding the ACA was a poison pill, and yet you expect the Democrats and the President to capitulate to blackmail.

You’re like the kid who throws lit matches around and then blames someone else for the fire that results. Nice try, but nobody’s buying it except your kool-aid drinkers.(Think Progress – Comment by Victoria Hatch)

The first part of the comment above that’s in red…that’s a perfect description of what the Tea Party has become in this country.

  1. One Congress is not bound by the poor decisions of an earlier Congress. The Health Care bill is not ready to be enforced. Obama’s have gotten waivers for a year, why not the rest of Americans?

    • If this Congress had any common sense, they’d come to realize that the Affordable Care Act is settled law; it ain’t going away anytime soon and the sooner those of you on the Right understand that, the better.

As for the law itself…is it perfect? Far from it: I personally would rather see a Medicare-for-all, single-payer system but the ACA is a start…at least under the law, insurance companies can’t turn you away for pre-existing conditions; that alone is a good start.
