Johnny Bench Is Right, Pete Rose Is Wrong…   1 comment

…on the issue of banning home plate collisions: Bench has his view on the issue, Rose has his view on the issue…and on this one, Johnny Bench is dead-to-rights correct on MLB’s decision banning home-plate collisions in future years; as much as I want to agree with one of the sport’s greatest hitters, I’ve never really understood why, under MLB’s obstruction rule, home plate should be treated any different than first, second or third.

Then again, considering that Johnny Bench is a Hall-of-Famer and Pete Rose isn’t, why are we still listening to Charlie Hustle anyway?
