MO Legislator Compares Abortion To “Buying A Car”   1 comment

Seriously, folks…there has to be something toxic in the waters of Missouri; how else can you explain this?

Missouri state Rep. Chuck Gatschenberger (R) defended his controversial bill forcing women to have ultrasounds before abortions by comparing abortion to purchasing a new vehicle, the Huffington Post reports.

Said Gatschenberger: “In making a decision to buy a car, I put research in there to find out what to do.”

He added that his legislation would make a woman “research” her decision before having an abortion — a move he said would “increase the odds that she will choose life for her unborn baby.”(Political Wire)

…yeah, he went there, alright. It got me to thinking, though: if these geniuses (and I use that word loosely) are going to compare a woman having a legal medical procedure to buying an automobile, then does that mean when these men (and its’ usually men who say these dumbass remarks on average) go to the pharmacy to pick up Viagra or Cialis or any of those enhancement medications, is that like buying motor oil?
