*hugs, hugs and more hugs*
Moving through the motions day-to-day,
Trying to keep emotions at bay,
Crying, knowing no one is around to chase them away.
Remembering how things used to be,
Knowing my children did not know me,
Seeing them change, day-to-day, eyes open, I see.
Fear is the name of the game, I play,
Knowing I’ll lose at the end of the day,
And yet the fear is here to stay.
Eyes closed, I can dream,
Nothing is as it would seem.
Winter has almost come to pass,
Lost my way, forgot how to relax,
Fell hard, trying to find my way back, attack.
Lost part of my mind,
Not well placed, not well-timed,
People locked, entwined.
Memories begin to fade, some completely gone,
Silencing myself, done,
Words remain my friend, lead on.
And now to bring this to a close,
As life goes on.
